Rise in diet-related non-communicable diseases has doubled the burden of obesity and malnutrition, but absence of knowledge on nutrition is making it difficult for doctors to give advice, says a study published in Nutrition Bulletin. The study found that there were numerous challenges and barriers why doctors do not provide nutrition recommendations to their patients.

An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Palghar region in Maharashtra. It jolted the state around 6:40 pm and second at 8:59 pm. Four days after the Navy spotted dead body of one of the 15 trapped in coal mine in Meghalaya, the navy has abandoned efforts to retrieve the decomposed body, owing to “too much disintegration of the body with every pull.” On Wednesday, the navy had spotted a corpse of a trapped miner, using an unmanned, ROV at a depth of around 160 feet inside the mine's main shaft.
